At the Crossroads of Truth & Lies…..

the art of fabrication

In the kinetic inertia of washing clothes , when unanticipatedly I hear something clunking inside the machine ; there starts a quest with both my oars swiftly finding way through the churned , foamy water only to realize , suddenly , my husband’s gym pants’ pocket in my super wet bumpy hands holding his Super Sassy phone. Instantaneously , the silence of a conspiracy looms large.

All castles made of vegetable rice pulao and shahi paneer fell into that horrendous tub seemingly deeper than the Angel Falls in Venezuela.

My head stopped carrying any tune. However , after a spree of shopping alibis into my bucket, I decided to shun off of any such songs and dances and told my ‘Man of the Family’ of the sloppy negligence. When I paddle my canoe myself, usually I get a preface to my harbour , normally a Contented one.

A situation arises , my conscience tells me I am the one who will be held ‘stained’ guilty in this proceeding that would superscribe my name thenceforth. Thinking I would be rather dead than red ,so, with this crude determination as my sew and a never ending string of lies and concoctions as my thread , my journey to an adventurous tale of telling lies one after another , delivering one drama serial after another begins. It lends me the great power of imagination and conviction , however , not far does it becomes Monotonous , Demanding , Troublesome and finally Punishing not only to me but all my loved and not so loved ones around me.

Being in these ‘cemented shoes’ might help us escape one prison but certainly imprisons us in solitary up the river. Why not I save myself of this daily grind and rather do something that is so umm …..simple.....let’s see ….. Admit my folly , apologise sincerely , respect the people present at that place , gain a tender heart and move on with an improved me.

I have so many things to accomplish in a day that I might always pass this opportunity to meet a lie every time we have a rendez- vous. Life is momentary , it’s beautiful , it’s perfect and it needs to be ‘wisely honored’. Hence , every moment will be a moment well spent…..
